Following our conference talk at the National Digital Forensics Seminar 2022: 6 Women, 6 Months, 1 Goal, we hosted an online webinar aimed at academics, students, and professionals alike. During the webinar, we shared our story of how we came together as a new initiative and the challenges we faced in organizing a national conference.
The webinar provided an opportunity to personally connect with us, ask questions, and explore how our initiative could benefit universities and companies. We have now established our goals and have a clear vision for the future of CyberWomen@Warwick. We also introduced new upcoming events, aiming to offer more opportunities to younger people in STEM and encourage their involvement.
We invited fellow students to join us and learn about our journey and how they can embark on similar initiatives. Additionally, we created a Discord server to foster a positive environment and facilitate connections among all participants.
Academics, the webinar showcased the benefits we experienced as Warwick students and how it could benefit students at other institutions. We are actively exploring the expansion of CyberWomen@Warwick and would love for you to be part of it.
Organizations, many of you expressed interest in collaborating with us, and we shared our future ideas during the webinar. We remain open to discussing potential collaborations and working together moving forward.
We were thrilled to welcome all participants to the webinar and look forward to the opportunities and connections that lie ahead.

In November 2022, we had the pleasure of attending and speaking at the 18th Digital Forensics Conference. The aim of this workshop is to bring together academics and practitioners in the field of digital forensics, and discuss new upcoming ideas, practises and improvements to be made for teaching in the coming years.
Despite an impromptu fire alarm, our talk named ‘6 Women, 6 Months, 1 Goal’ discussed the highs and lows of putting together an entirely student-led conference, and the top 10 lessons we took away from the process. These ranged from understanding the importance of a varied line up of speakers, to persuading the university that a student booking out a room for 300 people only had good intentions! This seminar sparked the growth of CyberWomen across the UK, and is a talk we have done privately to a number of audiences interested.
